1. place the blocks into the vent wells.
2. place the window strip between the hatch and the rear window.
When spraying the car, spray from the rooftop down.
This angle causes the water to run down the car & over the Vent Blocks.
This angle does not force the water under the Vent Blocks.
Spraying from the back of the C8 up under the Vent Blocks causes the water to be forced under the Vent Blocks.
This causes the water to flow into the vent wells and the engine bay.
Spraying under the Vent Blocks can cause the Vent Blocks to dislodge.
Water will drain into the vent wells from this action.
P.S. Please double-check to ensure you have removed the Vent Blocks before starting the engine or driving.
P.S.S. Please do not leave the Vent Blocks in direct sunlight. The plastic will warp after some time.
P.S.S.S ENJOY! Your C8 is sparkling, shiny clean!

ABSOLUTELY, our C8 Dry Bay Vent Blocks are made in Indianapolis, Indiana. The shop is owned and operated by a father-and-son team. Great people to work with. The son, Kyle has gone above and beyond giving his professional opinion to create a great product to solve the wet engine bay dilemma.

The C8 Chevrolet Corvette slowly has been making its way into customers' hands. Canadian owner Morgan Crosbie has been shooting videos almost daily about his new 'Vette, which will coincidentally be his daily driver, and yesterday he took his white C8 Corvette for its first spray car wash.
And this is where things get interesting in Crosbie’s eyes. He takes the car to a wand-style car wash and sprays the back hatch gently as if rain were pouring down. The water rolls down the rear hatch into the vents and into another little gutter in the rear that seems meant to catch it. When he opens the glass, it pours into the engine bay. The lucky few who got in line early enough and dropped their hard earned money to place a pre-order for a brand-new mid-engine Corvette have begun receiving their cars, which means that every day, another few videos hit YouTube showing new owners acting like kids in a candy store. From NOS-boosted drag strip runs to twin-turbo dyno tests and more, the C8 has certainly been put through its paces—and the results look impressive from GM's affordable supercar. But what about some flaws that might belie the car's incredible power and performance combined with a price tag starting below $60,000? Well, as one YouTuber recently discovered, the C8 does have a pretty serious problem with water entering and pooling in the engine bay.

Blocks minimize water intrusion through the six vents and the rear window. Water may still gather in the hatch opening and could fall directly after washing. Allow ample time to drain.
High pressure sprayed directly on the blocks i.e. through touch-less car wash could dislodge vent blocks and the window block. Blocks are primarily meant for handwashing with medium pressure directly on blocks.
